Negotiating at All Costs
For some time now I have been hearing, on the radio and on television, that in situations of conflict the most reasonable thing to do is to engage in dialogue and negotiation.
Yet it seems evident to me that this is not always possible. Let us imagine that I find myself facing someone who wants my head. In such a situation, it is difficult to establish a constructive negotiation; indeed, it is impossible. Why? Simply because my head is not negotiable!
