Forced Polygamy
It is very difficult to marry just one person; in fact, it is quite rare that this can be done. In reality, one is almost always compelled to “marry” the entire family of one’s spouse (unless the person happens to be an orphan, with no brothers or sisters). It is never easy to find someone truly compatible with whom to share a life. Even more arduous is finding an entire family that is equally compatible and able to accompany us along the rough and uneven path of life. A comparable burden, of course, falls upon the spouse, who must in turn accept our own family.
