Hard Rock, Heavy Metal and Grunge

Everything that is meaningful and valuable in Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, and Grunge does not translate into staff notation. A problem therefore arises for conservatory-trained musicians who have been learning music with their eyes, rather than through their ears. That is why whoever acquires a consolidated habit of thinking organized sound in terms of discrete dots put on paper, is not at all likely to ever be able to make, or even appreciate this kind of music.
